- Kevin Owens opened the show demanding Roman Reigns come out & face him. Paul Heyman appeared on The Tron to say Roman doesn’t work on Kevin Owens’ time, but his own. Owens cut him off & stated if Roman won’t come to him, he’ll go to Roman & stormed to the back. As he got to Roman’s locker room, Reigns’ music hit & he came to the ring with Heyman. Roman gave Kevin the same ultimatum he gave to Jey Uso & that he needs to acknowledge him as Head of The Table or he’ll take him out at TLC. Owens came back out, but was attacked from behind by Uso, allowing he & Reigns to beat Owens down.
- Backstage, Roman instructed Jey to take Owens out by the end of the night.
- SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits defeated Robert Roode & Dolph Ziggler
Ford countered a roll-up by Roode into a roll-up of his own for the pin. - Owens was talking to Pearce in the back as Jey Uso came up from behind & attacked him with a chair.
- The Riott Squad defeated Billie Kay & Tamina
The Riotts hit Billie with a Flatliner/Missile Dropkick combination for the win. - Carmella held a “Champagne Toast” as an early celebration ahead of her match with Sasha Banks for The SmackDown Women’s Championship at TLC. Sasha eventually snuck into the ring & threw champagne in Carmella’s face, then put her in The Banks Statement. The Sommelier broke it up & as Sasha was distracted by him, Carmella smashed a bottle on her back, knocking her out.
- In the trainer’s room, Jey Uso ambushed Kevin Owens again & put him through a table.
- Otis defeated Shinsuke Nakamura
Otis scored the pin after hitting Nakamura with a Vader Bomb. - Sami Zayn hosted his own “Sami Awards” in spite of the return of The Slammy Awards. Zayn awarded himself Return of The Year & Match of The Year. He announced Superstar of The Year & Big E’s name was written in Sami’s place. Big E came out & accepted the award, with Zayn interrupting saying there’s been a mistake, so Big E threw him down the entrance ramp.
- Bayley defeated Bianca Belair
Belair had Bayley up for a Powerbomb, but Bayley raked her eyes & transitioned in The Rose Plant for the win. - Reigns, Uso & Heyman came back out to talk up Reigns ahead of Sunday. Owens interrupted immediately & was taken down by Jey & Roman. The two put him through multiple tables & then buried him under tables, ladders & chairs. After they left, Owens stirred & grabbed a microphone, saying he’ll win The Universal Championship or die trying.
