RAW Emotions – 12.7.2020

What Happened Last Week On Raw: Randy Orton talked about the Fiends weaknesses. Lana & Asuka stole a win from Nia and Shayna. Cedric beat one of The New Day. Dana Brooke beat RECKONING so she got yelled at. McIntyre & Sheamus fought of Miz, Morrison, and Styles.

Huh, weird. That all seems, kind of familiar? I can’t really put my finger on it though. Last weeks show reminds me of something I’ve seen somewhat recently. Oh well, probably nothing important right? Let’s get right into..

RAW Emotions during December 12th

Time to play The Game [Insert Lemmy Laugh Here]

I don’t really know where to start with this opening segment. When you basically start the show and say “oh b t dubs, Alexa Bliss ain’t here” about 3/4 of my brain immediately checks out. Less we not forget that Bray is still REALLY good at this stuff. Orton has been more hit than miss lately.

And any opportunity to watch Sweater Bray try to wreck someone is something I am here for.

Also, of course Ramblin’ Rabbit is the best of us. I think we all knew it. But this show pretty much confirmed it.

“no boundry i will not cross, not gym bag i will not.. uh, nevermind”

Groundhog Day

This is what, three weeks now where Nia and Shayna have stumbled and bumbled their way to losing a match to Lana and Asuka? At least we officially have a title match I guess.

The real question is who is going to win it? Because again, a literal month of programming has been used to show that LANA and Asuka are quote unquote BETTER than SHAYNA BASZLER and Nia Jax.

As long as this gets me a real Asuka/Shayna match at a legit Network Event for like a solid 15 minutes then I’ll be fine.

Groundhog Day Part Deux

So here we are with more filler! I think this qualifies as filler still because the main people writing these shows clearly don’t give a crap about any of the people involved in it.

Dana gets another pinfall victory over NOT Mia Yim and Mustafa Ali yells at her for it which is the same thing that happened last week and this one was actually kind of his fault.

#WaitAndSeeWhereItsGoing

#LOLNoItsRetribution

#SadHackerNoises

I’d also like to point out that Ricochet was arguably the 5th most important person in an angle that involves Dana Brooke and SLAPJACK. Oh how the mighty..

Pretty sure we didn’t need you in charge to lose matches my guy..

BUT CAN THEY COEXIST?!

Sigh. I just, I really don’t care, ya know? Sheamus just happened to show up backstage one week and give Drew some cosplay to carry to the ring and now they are BEST FRIENDS which unless they are trying to subvert everyone’s expectations, means they are about to turn on each other.

Add in a weird promo with Styles and Miz where they just couldn’t seem to get in sync on the mic. And some really really bad accents and this segment just I don’t know kind of happened.

Styles big man just pulling him out of the ring and carrying him away on his shoulder at least made me laugh though.

Waiting for that Scottish/Irish GQ Cover Shoot

I AM THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS

So I don’t know if The Hurt Bidness is ever actually going to win the Raw Tag Team Titles. What I do know is that I am absolutely going to win my parlay at this point.

Shelton and Kofi basically didn’t even have a match to set up another match which is whatever. Following that Cedric and Kofi had a pretty solid match. So at least we got that out of it.

Are we trying to plant seeds of doubt within the Hurt Bidness? Who knows really. What I do know is that I fully expect Big E to wrestle Apollo Crews this Friday just because it seems right.

Diamond upside down is a..

So here we are. We have finally reached the fireworks factory that is Sheamus and McIntyre “breaking down” because you know when your opponent ducks and you hit your partner multiple times, how dare you? I don’t know.

The match itself is fine, I just don’t understand why the good guy team that’s out numbered was constantly getting heat over the heels but that I guess was more of a time waster than anything.

And then the Unthinkable Happened

Ugh. That’s all I have to say really.

Like the idea of Sheamus saying he’s just going to kick Drew’s ass because he knows Drew is going to kick his ass is kind of fun.

Poor Pat “I still don’t know who your are” Buck decides to try to intervene and gets put through a table for his efforts and then everyone is happy go lucky again because REASONS.

Rockstar Spud! I knew you’d come!

Dough-n’t touch these Nuts, Bro

I am enjoy dorky ass Mat Riddle in these backstage segments. I can’t tell if he’s being punished for certain things and made to look like a dork. As long as you still allow him to continue to be a badass in the ring I think going forward it could be a lot of fun.

Bobby Lashley continues to be someone they make look like a badass and I just can not seem to care about him at all beyond the fact that any time he bleeds I don’t understand why his blood is so bright.

Exchange in the Clowns

This was a fun little match honestly. Nothing super crazy, I just enjoy watching Bray wrestle in a sweater and wish it happened more often.

Also mad props to Bray for working the entire match in both sweater and pants with the singlet and tights under them.

The ending was super fun. I was thinking to myself it would be cool if Raw wasn’t live so they could work in a Bray for Fiend switch, but they did it anyways! It doesn’t really move the story forward at all but I fully assume it’s going through TLC anyways so I am not too bothered by it.

And that was Raw. Very similar outcomes to last week so hopefully we aren’t trying to stall too much but we will see how TLC takes shape after next week I guess.

If you enjoyed the show, Enjoyed this Column, or just enjoy life in general, give this a share. Leave a comment below with your thoughts. Feel free to stop by the SRP Discord and say hi. Until next time, I’m HGR and Tango Mike.
