I work with a lot of people afflicted by mental health issues and crisis and have seen the effect it can have on a person first-hand. Kenny Omega (c) vs. Christian Cage – AEW World Championship
Anthony – Kenny Omega
Phil – Kenny wins a very good match. Elite beatdown after the match. Lights go out. The Final Countdown.
Robert – Let me be perfectly clear. There is not a snowball’s chance in hell that Christian Cage takes away the AEW Championship from Kenny Omega. Even if it takes interference from The Young Bucks, Brandon Cutler, Don Callis, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Michael Nakazawa, the Kool-Aid Man, Little Jimmy, Damian, Lucifer, Dink, etc. Kenny is going to win. I do think those guys will all attack Christian afterwards and after Lucha Express makes the save and gets shitkicked themselves, the guy who actually WEARS shit kickers will come out and clear house. Cowboy Shit.
Bachur – What should happen…Kenny retains in the best match it can possibly be, and it doesn’t close the show.
What will happen….Yeah, that. I trust these two to have a great match and put the effort in to make you believe in Christian’s nonexistent odds, even for a second, but there’s only one guy that can end Kenny’s reign.
Nate – Christian Cage is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time. A legend, a future Hall of Famer, a man who history will not remember as he should. This is not his match to win. That belt has Hangman’s name written on it.
Kelli – Kenny Omega
CM Punk vs Darby Allin WITHOUT Sting
Anthony – CM Punk
Phil – Punk wins with the GTS
Robert – The only way CM Punk loses this is if someone interferes, just to give that person NUCLEAR HEAT. I don’t think they’ll go Daniel Garcia if they do that but maybe someone random like Ricky Starks or The Murderhawk Monster
Bachur – What should happen….22 minutes, Punk doesn’t miss a beat, GTS, crowd goes wild. No turn, play it straight
What will happen….It feels like AEW could pull off some sort of swerve here, but if they’re smart they’ll stay on the babyface Punk train. Face Punk can make them a lot of money for a very long time still.
Nate – It’s CM Punk. In Chicago. Unless AEW wants an actual goddamn riot on their hands, this is easily a win for the man of pepsi. Considering they’re both straight edge maybe they can celebrate together with some pepsis. That or CM Punk can play darts with Darby’s dad Sting.
Kelli – CM Punk
MJF vs. Chris Jericho – The Final Fight
Anthony – MJF
Phil -Jericho wins with the Liontamer
Robert – Due to the special wording of this stipulation, I can definitely see MJF beating Jericho again and gloating over it for the next 25 years. Ya know, until he’s Chris Jericho’s age. That being said, I don’t see MJF winning here. Jericho is going to withstand every Pinnacle shenanigan and beat the brakes off MJF.
Bachur – What should happen….Hm. I feel like AEW doesn’t really need Jericho to wrestle anymore in order to stay afloat, and putting Jericho’s AEW career to bed would be a huge step in taking the show forward. Plus, the stipulation allows Jericho to pop up in New Japan if Gedo ever wants him back, which could still happen.
What will happen….Feels like Jericho’s winning this one. All signs pointed to Pinnacle winning Stadium Stampede and AEW gave it to the Inner Circle, so I think they still got one or two more years of Jericho left in them.
Nate – I can’t believe I want Chris to win a ppv match in 2021. Anything to keep him off commentary. The less I have to hear his bat-like screeches, the better

Dr. Britt Baker D. M. D. vs. Kris Statlander – AEW Women’s Championship

Phil – Baker wins with the Lockjaw after lots and lots of help from her goons.
Robert – Dr. Britt Baker is winning this match. I’m not really sure there’s any logical reason to have her drop it to Statlander here (or ever). Boop.
Bachur – What should happen….is AEW giving Britt a believable challenger next time round.
What will happen….Yeah ain’t a chance in hell Britt drops to Statlander. Let’s see where this Jamie Hayter thing leads.
Nate – Britt Baker’s title run is not ending any time soon. She is AEW’s golden child and shall be booked as such.

Phil – Lucha Bros win what will likely be the MOTY.
Robert – Everyone loves the Lucha Bros here and I don’t disagree with them being the ones that dethrone the Bucks. My biggest problem is that they set up the cage match before the story needed one. I think they have an actual feud and then swipe the straps.
Bachur – What should happen….Lucha Bros. should win this and it should be very, very, very good.
What will happen….The Death Triangle/Andrade feud has me thinking the Luchas are gonna fall short here and eventually align themselves with Andy, and maybe then they’ll get the titles. Makes enough sense to me.
Nate – CERO! MIEDO! Lucha Bros Win or I Riot

Phil – Toughest pick of the night. My guess is Andrade wins after the Lucha Bros turn on PAC.
Robert – Andrade was winning this match the whole time. It’s his first PPV match so he finally has center stage; however, since PAC is scared of him, he’s teasing a mystery opponent. I still say he’s going to win because even if nobody shows up, he’s still going to get paid. Probably. So he wins either way is what I’m saying.

Which turned into The Best Friends & Jurassic Express vs. The Hardy Family Office
This surprised us all so let’s all agree with Nate, who is the only one to enter a prediction (mainly because he was last with the picks!):
This sounds like an easy one for the face. When Matt Hardy might be the most powerful one in your stable, this should be locked in. I think this should be a great little opening match. My only real wish is that Wheeler Yuta gets some time to shine as he still hasn’t truly gotten a moment to shine on Dynamite. (editor’s note: So to be clear, we’re all rooting for Wheeler Yuta here!)
Miro (c) vs. Eddie Kingston – AEW TNT Championship
Anthony – Miro
Phil – Miro. Always Miro.
Robert – My two favorites going one on one and unfortunately, I agree with both Phil and Nate. My pick is Miro. Always Miro. And (spoiler alert for Nate’s pick) Eddie Kingston is going to DIE. All caps. But no cap.
Bachur – What should happen….Miro retains after a dope ass defense.
What will happen….Miro retains, hopefully after a dope ass defense. I have faith.
Nate – Eddie Kingston is going to DIE. I’m sorry buddy, you don’t mock a man’s God. You aren’t being redeemed, Eddie. Game. Over.

Jon Moxley vs. Satoshi Kojima

Phil – Mox wins with his dumb double underhook suplex
Robert – As most of you know, or hell, maybe nobody remembers, I don’t know NJPW at all. Like, at all. So when you throw my boy Mox vs. some dude who I keep wanting to call Kenji Jojima, I’m taking Mox every time. Watch out for some sort of beatdown or this Tamagotchi guy showing up afterward to set up their months-long death feud. Just make sure you feed him, Mox.
Bachur – What should happen….Good exhibition for Mox, Kojima gives him a fun bout and everyone claps.
What will happen….Yeah, another case of “what should happen will happen”. They won’t pull the trigger on Mox/Tanahashi until Wrestle Kingdom, but hopefully Mox gets a few more New Japan guys thrown at him. Suzuki’s the safe bet, but I’ll throw a wild card and say Juice Robinson again. Hey, it’s been a while since he last lost to Mox, hasn’t it?
Nate – Kojima is a legend of the ring. The founder of Bread Club. One of my favorite old men in NJPW. However he is fighting Jon Moxley. If Moxley truly seeks to shift the paradigm, he has to be able to defeat an old man. I wish you luck, Kojima but you are going to get destroyed out there.

Phil – Wight wins the Sunday Night Heat main event.

Bachur – What should happen….The match doesn’t happen and QT Marshall’s faction stays in that one AEW show you don’t watch from now until the end of time. Except Comoroto. I like Comoroto.
What will happen….Another L for QT, though probably not as short as it should be. I’m happy to see Paul though!
Nate – Why? Just Why? Paul Wight literally destroyed the entire Factory this week. He’s feuding with Billy Gunn. Why is this on ppv? Paul Wight wins in 2 minutes and I pretend this didn’t happen.

Robert – Nobody loves a battle royale quite like me. It’s pure chaos and anything can literally happen. Hell, I once saw a man tear both his quads just sliding into the ring and another guy dive under the ring on accident. To quote the great philosopher Kevin Garnett – ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Like Jade Cargill winning this Casino Battle Royale. Everyone wants a face to win but….Britt Baker is the face. Baker vs. Cargill. Book it.
Bachur – What should happen….With this match being moved to the main show, I got an inkling on Ruby Soho showing up and winning the whole thing. Barring that, maybe Shida. Thunder Rosa should absolutely challenge Britt, but they’re not doing that match on Dynamite and the winner isn’t waiting until Full Gear.
What will happen….These are hard to predict, but I’m going with Shida. I miss Shida sometimes…
Nate – This is Ruby Soho’s to win right? You don’t tease that Jaime would just lay down for Britt and then do it. Reba and Britt isn’t the story and it seems Rosa is distracted with Nyla and Jade Cargill. Every other woman face is so low on the totem pole right now. Ruby Soho is going to debut and make a huge claim. She is going all out to win this royal.
