I’m going to be totally honest.
I haven’t watched RAW at all in two weeks. Haven’t watched it live in probably over a month.
I just..
I just don’t care.
Lemme give you some legit RAW Emotion..
Nothing Matters
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the last episode I wrote ended with fucking Bill Goldberg getting another title shot for no damn reason. While making Drew McIntyre, the guy who has been holding the show down for a year now, look like an idiot to end the show.
Tough guys shove people that just worked a brutal 24 minute match. Ya know?
So beyond that waste of a Network Event Main Event, what else actually happens on this show?
Absolutely God Damn Nothing
Seriously think about it. Beyond one or two main storylines involving people I absolutely adore. What the ACTUAL FUCK happens on these THREE HOUR shows?
MVP and his crew fight the same people every week for a couple months, Bobby Lashley is made to look like a badass every other week.. FOR NOTHING.
AJ Styles is stuck in the mid-card trying to make JAXSON RYKER a god damn thing. My god man.
Don’t even get me STARTED on the absolute waste of talent that is Retribution. I could write and entire column on that depressing ball of nothing.
And then there’s the Women’s Divisions
It’s not Asuka’s fault really. She was able to get some good matchups with Sasha and Bayley last year, but beyond that who’s going to challenge her?
You stuck the entire women’s division in the tag division and in the end for what? Just so FUCKING CHARLOTTE could add another damn title to her resume? Because she totally needed that right?
WWE as a whole has the talent, but seemingly refuses to use any of it. You have two separate Men’s Tag titles and they have NO ONE TO WRESTLE.
But there was some Good, Right?
There was. Bray Wyatt is a gift we should all cherish forever. Alexa Bliss has come on strong and shown that eventually some day we are absolutely going to lose her to Hollywood.
Randy Orton finally dipped into going FULL RANDY ORTON and had one of if not the best years of his career.
McIntrye and Keith Lee have occasionally been allowed to put on some banger matches.
But in the end.
None of it matters.
Because it’s RAW.
And as much as I can try to meme about how amazing the WWE Draft was, and that RAW won Survivor Series (they did by the way)
WWE Raw fucking sucks you guys. I’ve only really skimmed the surface of what’s wrong with this show. I didn’t even mention how often this show that chooses to be THREE FUCKING HOURS goes out of it’s way to WASTE TIME.
And I just can’t bring myself to care to write about it anymore.
The SRP WWE awards will be out pretty soon, and that will most likely be the last of me. And while I will leave with a full heart and clear eyes. Sadly I have lost.
Because I was beaten down.
