Pops & Botches: GCW Presents: Jimmy Lloyd’s Jersey Shore – 08.23.2020

One more post! One more post! Yes, I was just cheering myself on. Trust me though, I deserve it! You deserve it! GCW and Jimmy Lloyd deserve it! Without further adieu I give you, Pops & Botches for GCW Presents: Jimmy Lloyd’s Jersey Shore!

POP: Setting The Mood

Kudos to GCW for doing these shows on the Boardwalk because, wow!

Kudos to Robert Starkz-Bellamy as well for the beautiful shots he captured on the weekend. This is art. Follow him on Twitter, please.

POP:AR Fox vs Cole Radrick

No punny, funny title needed. These two dudes are amazing and a match between the two became a dream match upon announcement.

Hello superstar!

Seriously, see this match! Fox is a living legend and Radrick is another one of those guys who’s going to take over the wrestling world one day. These two went back and forth and really set the tone for the rest of the show. You want to know what a banger of an opener is? This is it.

Fucking beautiful.

The finish came when Radrick hit a nasty looking head kick that I’m still convinced knocked AR Fox out cold.

Fox got up, after a bit, and looked okay.

POP:My Jam

Second match on the card, Lee Moriarty versus Chris Dickinson. Jimmy Lloyd, two matches in and this is a hell of a show! Power versus agility, for both. I love these guys. Put them together and I’m in heaven.

Enough GIFs, watch this match! Dickinson won by submission, although the real winners were those of us who watched.

❤❤❤

POP: The Ginger Messiah Slays A Giant

My boy, my Ginger Messiah, “All Heart” Blake Christian had his hands full with 7’5″ Andrew Everett*. Really though, Everett had his hands full with Christian.

Look, I’m gonna sound like a broken record here but, every match on this card was my jam. Either it had two folks I love equally kicking ass or one of my favs versus someone who impressed me thoroughly. I’ve seen Everett before and liked him. This match made me love him.

Christian won when he felled the giant with a package brainbuster.

*Size may vary.

POP:My Bloody Leprechaun

Deathmatch time! You know what that means. Blood, barbed wire, doors, and chairs. Oh my! Whoops, almost forgot, light tubes!

It ain’t a GCW deathmatch without light tubes. AJ Gray did what he did best, fuck shit up and he brought Lucky 13 along for the ride. Props to Lucky, he fucking ruled in this match too.

Gray won the match when he hit Lucky with a pumphandle slam on barbed wire covered board. This one was bloody, so proceed with caution.

POP: HOLY SHIT!

KTB and Shane Mercer versus Myron Reed and Jordan Oliver. That’s it. See it.

POP: The Host, The Host, The Host Is On Fire

The master of ceremonies, Jimmy Lloyd had himself a deathmatch with Elayna Black. The rain made its presence known and made things a bit interesting in the beginning. This was the second attempt.

No shade though, Lloyd and Black had a decent deathmatch but, it sure was hard for them to top what Gray and Lucky did.

We do need some water, I don’t want the motherfucker to burn.

Wait, is that . . . in the fourth photo. . .

Who Invited This Asshole?!?!?!

No one. No one is the answer.

Ugh, anyway, 44.OH shows up and bounces Lloyd and Black from the ring. Risky Savings Plan, I mean, Rickey Shane Page grabs a mic and tears into his 44.OH brethren. He wasn’t happy with how TOS5 turned out, I was, and he told his boys to “tighten it up”. RSP also let us know he ain’t going anywhere and no one is every taking the GCW title away from him.

We’ll see about that, Rickey. We’ll see about that.

POP: Pinkie and The Daddy

One is a genius, the other’s Sanchez. EFFY and Pinkie Sanchez had a fun little match that had them trading kisses on the apron. Sanchez, was against Daddy and the only mustache in wrestling that matters though, so you know who got the better of the kiss off. Unfortunately, Sanchez got the win over EFFY after hitting a running powerbomb and going 2-0 on the day.

Don’t worry Daddy, you’re still the Inspire Pro Pure Prestige Champion and we still love you.

POP: Bad, Saucy GIF(t)

Fuck yeah! Alex Zayne versus Joey Janela in the main event! Good one, Jimmy! Here was another match I’ll claim Jimmy Lloyd booked just for me. Zayne and Janela produced probably the most GIFd match of the weekend. Not just because crazy shit happened but, also because they had a hell of a match.

But mostly because crazy shit happened.

Which lead to Zayne getting this compliment.

This guy is the next big thing.

Wow.

Janela ended up getting the win with a moonsault double stomp onto a door Zayne was trapped under. Glad neither of these daredevils died in this match. It was epic.

Sorry to post this move twice, I’m just in awe of this man.

This was such a great way to cap off a weekend full of the best indie wrestling has to offer. Folks, I know I say it all the time but, you need to get an IWTV subscription! Its full of pure wrestling bliss.

That’s it for me, for now! All the indie shows I watched have been Popped & Botched, mostly Popped because these indie companies know what I like. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks with P&Bs for shows from Black Label Pro and GCW.

Until we meet again, thanks for reading, be safe and take care.

Wear A Mask.
