BEYOND WRESTLING: Two Weeks Notice – Recap & Results – 7.26.2020

Hello, everyone! I’m back with another recap & results post – this time for Beyond Wrestling!

What’s Beyond Wrestling? Well, Beyond Wrestling is a great Independent company in the Northeast United States, based in Massachusetts, that runs a series on IWTV called Uncharted Territory.

Beyond has also featured quite a few wrestlers who made their way to AEW en route to becoming stars there. Stars such as: Kris Statlander, Santana & Ortiz (known in Beyond as EYFBO), The Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds & John “Fucking Idiot” Silver (known as The Beaver Boys), The Butcher & The Blade, and some dude named Orange Cassidy.

Those are just a few of the names that have passed through Beyond’s doors either on the Uncharted Territory series or on shows like Americanrana or Heavy Lies The Crown, which you can find independentwrestling.tv. Full disclosure, I am not getting paid by them to say this but, I wouldn’t be opposed to it, IWTV is one of the best streaming services for Independent Wrestling in the US and Beyond Wrestling is worth the $9.99 a month alone. Endorsement end (I take my bribes in swag as well).

Now, its not quite two weeks later, just six days, but here are the recap and results for Beyond Wrestling Two Weeks Notice!

ALLIE KAT VS MAX CASTER W/ THE SHOOK CREW (BRYCE DONOVAN AND BOBBY ORLANDO)

The opening match features a grudge match that gained some bad blood when diss tracks were dropped by the combatants prior to the event, which Caster brings up.

The match starts off with some cat scratchin’, allowing Allie Kat to get the early edge on Caster. Allie Kat, unfortunately, has a bit of a wardrobe malfunction that slows her down, which allows the Shook Crew to interfere, so Caster can recover and take control. Allie is able to get back in the action, as Caster seems to be taking her lightly, before more Shook Crew shenanigans gives Caster the chance to hit a Mic Drop elbow from the top rope while holding an actual working microphone. Allie, again, battles back breaking out a flurry of offense that she caps off with cannonball splash in the corner which gets her a two count. Caster, again with Shook Crew help, hits a Death Valley Driver for a two count.

Effy and WARHORSE come out to even the odds by taking out Donovan and Orlando. In the chaos, Allie rolls up Caster, and gets what seemed like a three count, as the bell sounds, but was actually a two count. After a few seconds, and some confusion, Allie hits Caster with a Lari-Kat to pick up the win. Decent, quick match, even with the possibly botched false finish.

TORNADO TAG MATCH: INJUSTICE (JORDAN OLIVER & MYRON REED) VS BEAR COUNTRY (BEAR BRONSON & BEAR BOULDER)

We got ourselves a Tornado Tag Match, between a team that’s full of flips and speed, Injustice, versus a team of BIG MEAT MEN, Bear Country. Both of those were compliments.

Bear Country is a team commentary, Paul Crockett and the great Sidney Bakabella, describe as the Aces of the Beyond Tag Division. Which is true, as Bear Country has an impressive list of teams they’ve defeated, such as the aforementioned Santana & Ortiz, Reynolds & Silver, and The Butcher and The Blade.

Which made it a big surprise to see Injustice pull off the upset, in a very quick match, when Myron Reed hits a 450 on Bear Bronson to pick up the win for his team. There was a tease of some dissension after the match between Bronson and Boulder but, they ended up hugging it out.

LEE MORIARTY VS WHEELER YUTA

This match was the first to get a fair amount of time and it really delivered the goods! Moriarty, making his Beyond debut, is an up and coming star I’ve covered in my GCW write ups who’s going to get signed sooner rather than later. Yuta, a Beyond vet, needs to be signed somewhere now! He’s so smooth and so good, that I can’t say I’ve seen a match of his I haven’t enjoyed.

The mat based, catch wrestling these two delivered was a thing of beauty. Counter after counter, submission after submission, including a sequence where they countered each other’s rolling pin attempts. Yuta grabs the win with his aptly named Yu-Tap, submission hold.

Great showing by both. Love both of these guys! See this match. Both these guys are undefeated in my eyes.

INTERGENDER MATCH: EL PRESIDENTE LORD CARLOS PINKIE SANCHEZ VS WILLOW NIGHTINGALE

Fun little comedy match that didn’t skimp on the wrestling. Sanchez is a hoot! If you’ve never seen him, you’re missing out. Willow Nightingale is a treasure and would be a perfect opponent for any champion holding an open challenge. Willow has the size and strength that allows to hang with anyone in the ring. I won’t sell Sanchez short though, he did hit a fun pele kick from the top rope. Nightingale hit a Pounce that showed be framed and hung in a museum. Nightingale ends up finishing off Sanchez with a gut wrench sitout powerbomb.

Loved this match!

Love El Presidente!

Love Willow!

CHRISTIAN CASANOVA VS BLAKE CHRISTIAN

Listen, if I’m ever put in charge of assembling talent for an Indie Cruiserweight Tournament, these guys are getting a call ASAP!

Casanova made his name in Beyond. He had a decent run in Beyond’s Discovery Gauntlet, even ending the record streak of Thomas Santell. Look Santell up WWE fans, and prepared to be shocked. Casanova also won the Tournament For Tomorrow in 2019.

Casanova is the real deal, and Beyond knows it. Blake Christian is, arguably, the bigger name on the scene right now, and I spoke about him before as he had two matches with GCW the same weekend of this show.

These two went back and forth, shot for shot, move for move. The athleticism was on full display and this match is definitely worth your time.

Casanova wins with the scissors kick. These guys are the future, and the future is now. Someone let me book a Indie Cruiserweight Tournament!

Side note: The Spanish Fly is the Indie’s equivalent of the Canadian Destroyer in AEW/WWE. You’re guaranteed at least one a show. Not a complaint, mind you, just an observation.

SIX MAN TAG MATCH: SECOND GEAR CREW (MANCE WARNER, MATTHEW JUSTICE & 1 CALLED MANDERS) W/ JUSTICE’S BUSTED FACE VS MURDER DEPPEN KILL (CHRIS DICKINSON, TONY DEPPEN & NICK GAGE)

This match was most notable for Nick Gage hating the name Murder Deppen Kill, which Deppen, secretly, told the ring announcer to say during ring introductions. This provide a laugh for everyone except Gage. It was needed because, midway through the match is when Nick Gage suffers an injury that caused him to miss most of the main event of GCW Homecoming Part 2. You know, the match where if his team won he’d earn a title shot or if his team lost his GCW career would be over? Yeah, about that. Anyway, this was a fun six man marred by Gage’s injury which has caused him to pull out of pretty much every show he’s been booked for since. Deppen ended up scoring the pinfall for Team MDK. Get well soon, King. You should have never got new shorts.

MAIN EVENT: RICKEY SHANE PAGE W/ 44.OH (ATTICUS COGAR, EDDY ONLY, ERIC RYAN & GREGORY IRON) VS WARHORSE (C) – IWTV INDEPENDENT WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH

Hey, look! Its TNT Title challenger, WARHORSE! Oh, look! Its a fancy looking new Independent Championship Title Belt! Oh, look. Its GCW World Champion, Rickey Shane Page and 44.OH.

THOSE GUYS SUCK.

Some may perceive WARHORSE as being at a disadvantage, since 44.OH is know for their shenanigans, and you’d be half right. 44.OH got involved quite often but, this is WARHORSE we’re talking about.

WARHORSE RULES ASS!

WARHORSE is tied for the longest reign as IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion, with “Hot Sauce” Tracey Williams, at 309 days. This is his 38th defense of said title, in which he’s beaten the likes of, Alex Zayne, Colt Cabana, Kylie Rae, Fred Yehi, John Silver, Daniel Makabe, Alan Angels, and Orange Cassidy. Ripe Sweaty Pumpkin, I mean Rickey Shane Page’s crew gets involved, as per usual. That doesn’t stop WARHORSE from suplexing the shit out of RSP through out the match.

I liked that. Not just because I despise RSP but, it shows that even though WARHORSE isn’t a big dude, he is a strong dude. What do you expect from a guy that weighs over four thousand pounds of heavy metal! As much shit as I give RSP, he’s a very good wrestler. His Chokebreaker is a solid finisher, he hit it but, he could not put WARHORSE away with it. Nor could a swanton or a superplex. Eventually, shenanigans ensued, as RSP “inadvertently” took out the ref with a chair.

This is when 44.OH entered the ring and laid the beat down on WARHORSE. Allie Kat hits the ring to help fight off 44.OH, and a new ref appeared as well. WARHORSE hit a big elbow drop which should have gotten the victory but, Gregory Iron pulled the ref out. This allowed RSP to hit a second chokebreaker! WARHORSE kicks out at two, again! RSP, frustrated, tosses the new ref out of the ring and gets disqualified.

He calls in his goons to attack WARHORSE again. Allie Kat gets back in to help fend them off, until Effy shows up to clear the ring. WARHORSE retains, and is now the longest reigning IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion of all-time! The show ends with Effy, Allie Kat, and WARHORSE head banging away.

This show RULED ASS! Even better, it was just over an hour and a half. So, it is highly recommended. Seriously, hit up IWTV’s twitter, they probably have a free trial code for you.

Also, check out Beyond’s YouTube page, they have tons of free great matches! Get hooked! Beyond is one of the best Indie companies out there! That’s all for me here. Let me know what you thought in the comment section below!
